Rey Gutierrez, originally from Cypress, Texas, relocated to Sealy in 2021 with his wife and two sons, ages 9 and 14. With a deep-rooted passion for sports from a young age, Rey has been immersed in travel sports, primarily baseball and soccer, since he was five years old. His journey into coaching began over six years ago in Houston's competitive select baseball scene.
Throughout his coaching career, Rey has had the privilege of working with esteemed organizations such as the Crush City Bombers, Potros Baseball, Diamond Kings, and Texas Scrappers, mentoring players ranging from 6U to 14U. Collaborating with influential figures in the baseball community has significantly shaped Rey's coaching philosophy, emphasizing the blend of high-level competition with essential fundamentals and mechanics crucial for player development and fostering a culture of success.
Currently, Rey Gutierrez serves as the head coach for the 11U AAA team at Advanced Athletics Club.
