Joe Craft brings the mindset of a lifelong competitor, years of high-level athletic experience, and a genuine passion for helping others grow through the game of pickleball.

Before stepping onto the pickleball court, Joe spent 18 years playing competitive rugby, where he won multiple state championships and competed at both the national and international levels. That experience helped shape the competitive mindset, discipline, teamwork, and understanding of strategy that Joe now brings to pickleball.

After hanging up his rugby cleats, Joe began searching for a new competitive outlet and found it in pickleball. What started as a new challenge quickly became a passion. He was drawn not only to the fast-paced competition, but also to the camaraderie, accessibility, and welcoming community surrounding the sport.

Joe has developed his game from mastering the fundamentals to gaining a deeper understanding of court positioning, strategy, shot selection, partner communication, and the mental side of competition. His continued development has resulted in victories at multiple tournaments and an appreciation for the small details that can make a big difference on the court.

As Pickleball Lead Trainer at Advanced Athletics Club, Joe's focus goes beyond winning matches. He enjoys working with players of different ages and skill levels and helping them understand the game, improve their technique, make smarter decisions, and become more confident competitors.

Whether someone is picking up a paddle for the first time, looking to improve their recreational game, or preparing for competitive tournament play, Joe's goal is to create a positive training environment where players can learn, compete, improve, and have fun doing it.
